Hara’s current exhibition, The Promises of Monsters, brings together ten artists who explore the representations of human and non-human bodies and ways of being deemed “monstrous”.

Spanning site-specific sculpture, installation, photography and video, the works in the exhibition approach bodies and identities not as fixed categories, but as suspended, liminal states. The boundaries between human and non-human, living and non-living, natural and artificial, functional and discarded, visible and suppressed constantly shift, dissolve, or blur in these works.

Here, imperfection, mutation, hybridity, and darkness are not deviations but sites of potential, resistance, and other ways of being. The exhibition frames the monster not as a threat, but as a liminal figure that resists classification and overlays temporalities, gesturing towards futures not yet fully articulated.
