As part of Hara’s Upuzun Gün events programme, artist Görkem Şen presents the Yaybahar – an instrument of his own invention that acoustically reimagines the sounds of string and bowed instruments. With its unusual resonance structure, Yaybahar offers audiences a meditative and transformative listening experience.

Positioned at the intersection of traditional craft and innovative design, the instrument creates a sonic world shaped by both handcraft and acoustic experimentation. In line with the programme’s theme of “Craft”, the Yaybahar concert highlights mastery, direct engagement with material, and a ritual-like sense of togetherness through sound.
