Where does documenting a garden begin? With knowing the name of a plant we encounter, noticing how it changes with the seasons, or simply taking a closer look?
In the first edition of Hara Garden Gatherings, participants are invited to explore the plants of Hara’s garden with Biodiversity Curator and Expert Biologist Burçin Çıngay, observing the changing vegetation, fruits, and seeds as autumn unfolds.
Throughout the walk, plants encountered along the way will be photographed and identified, and observations will be documented. These individual observations will become part of a collective record, making it possible to trace the garden’s transformations over time.
The gathering is part of *Hortus Narrans – Nature Tells Its Story in Hara Garden*, a project developed by Burçin Çıngay for Hara Garden. Through the scientific documentation of the garden’s plant life and the monitoring of seasonal changes, the project approaches Hara Garden as a living, ever-changing environment where diverse species coexist.
You are invited to join the gathering at Hara Garden on Sunday, October 25, at 1:00 PM.
